In the UK right now the skies are clear, the weather is hot and the moon is full tonight!
This month, June, the full moon is called a Strawberry Moon.
The name is thought to derive from Native Americans and is because June is strawberry picking season (I was disappointed to discover this as I was hoping the moon would turn red or something!)
But, not only do we have a stunning full moon tonight, we also have Saturn. It's the closest to Earth that it's been all year and if you have a telescope then you should be able to see the Saturn's rings quite clearly. (I've been trying, but failing so far. I probably need to wait until it's a bit darker.)
However, for those of you who are wondering if this has suddenly turned into an astronomy website, no, I do have other news too :)
My YA (young adult) pen name has released two books this month. I also write as Stella Wilkinson (yes, I know it's completely different, it was my grandmother's name).
Anyway, the second book came out a few days ago, right on the Summer Solstice, and the book is about ... The Summer Solstice! Well, it's not about that - it's actually about a witch who is kidnapped by a werewolf and uses extremely bumbling magic to rescue herself. Plus throw in a little romantic comedy and a hot alpha wolf/boy, and even a brief time travel experience and that kind of sums it up. Anyway, it's fun and it was relevant, so I thought I'd share here ;-) Go and check them out, the first book is only 0.99c and they are both free to read with Kindle Unlimited.
